Hi there, I’m Keith Gray, head chef & proprietor at the Braise O Mar restaurant at Inchmarlo Golf Resort. I’m originally from Braemar and have recently moved back to Deeside after 10 years living and cooking in Edinburgh. The restaurant takes it’s name from the fact that I’m from Braemar (known as the Braes O Mar) and I love slow cooked foods, hence “Braise O Mar”.
For the Braise O Mar I have taken inspiration from (in my opinion) 2 of the best restaurants in Edinburgh, firstly “The Rose Leaf Bar” for Jonny & Lyn’s quirkiness and outstanding breakfast/brunch menus and secondly “First Coast” simply for Hector and Mikey’s passion, overall quality of food and attention to detail. These two places are a must if you’re visiting the capital!
Here at the Braise O Mar we offer breakfast, lunch and dinner with daily specials, fresh scones, tray bakes & cakes. As well as creating bespoke menus for private events! We cook all of our food to order and everything is prepared in house. A wise chef once told me….. “the difference between good and bad food sometimes can simply be a pinch of salt” and we strive to have everything seasoned to perfection.
The restaurant is also available to hire for private functions, we have a capacity of 70 and can offer buffet or sit down meals for up to 50 and we also offer an in house DJ service.
